Welcome to the official Talk Radio website. Talk Radio is a 3-piece alt. rock band from Denver. Please check out the winamp samples from Mike's new CD, "Muddy Shins", and our prior CD, "Mixed Up".

NEWS:  (Summer 2008)
Mike will be performing at the 24 Hours of Great Glen on August 9th at 6PM. Hang out and with 500 mountain bike racers. More at www.24hoursofgreatglen.com.

NEWS:  (Winter 2007)
Mike's "Muddy Shins" CD collection of Mountain Bike songs is now complete. It is available for sale at www.cdbaby.com/cd/mikerust. Single song downloads should be available here shortly and at www.iacmusic.com.

NEWS:  (Fall 2007)
Recent rehearsals have produced a handful of potential new songs, and, although we are older and uglier than ever, we are now learning how to use the volume knobs on our amps. Well, we always knew how to turn them clockwise, but this is a very exciting development, indeed.

We're hoping to record this winter and have a CD complete in early '08, assuming Steve returns from Europe long enough to rehearse. A friend of Steve's who knows our favorite band The Connells, (www.theconnells.com) apparently told Mike Connell that we''ve been covering his "New Boy", who was actually intrigued by the prospect.

If you can't wait for the new stuff, you can download your favorite old Talk Radio song to your cell phone ringtone at: www.groupietunes.com/artists/talkradio. You can even edit the song to favorite section, like the opening guitar lick on "Dumpster".

MUSIC NOTES:
Mike's almost completed a collection of silly biking songs called "Muddy Shins" which should be ready by Christmas.

Last week, Rock Garden's song: "I can hold you down" won 2 awards for lyrics and bass playing at: www.garageband.com/artist/garden

Marc Olson's "other" band "Odins Other Eye" played Herman's this week. Photos should be available soon at: www.odinsothereye.com

NEWS:  (Spring 2007)
After a pleasant hiatus spent mostly with our kids, we've begun rehearsing for another round of recording. Our most popular songs sold via internet sites (like ITunes, Napster, Rhapsody) are "Tracy" and "Christina", so Steve told me to write more "girl songs". Yes, we put a lot of though into marketing. We're selling more songs now than ever; our strategy of doing nothing is paying off well.

I've been rehearsing with songwriter-guitarist Marc Olsen, whose band True Infinity will share billing with us on upcoming gigs. Stay tuned for dates: Marc and I are pulling together an acoustic set as well.

Joe Defelice recently recieved "Honorable Mention" in a big VH-1 contest for his song "She", and just flew to Denver to record it and a few more with me. Give him a listen at: http://www.garageband.com/artist/Defelice

Thanks for stopping by-
